The MFC works with its member countries to organise the annual Global Conference on Media Freedom, which brings together senior policymakers, officials, civil society and other MFC stakeholders to discuss emerging threats and opportunities and make commitments to advance media freedom.

The MFC also organises or takes part in other national, regional and global events such as World Press Freedom Day.
